*****Important Notice: Shipping Delays from Canada to Neogen Lab – Please Allow 6–8 Weeks for Results******
We want to make members aware of ongoing shipping challenges that may impact receiving your DNA results in a timely fashion. We are encouraging members to ship their DNA samples to Neogen’s Edmonton location as soon as possible, and to allow for 6-8 weeks for results.
Due to recent U.S. tariff changes and stricter customs regulations, Neogen is experiencing substantial delays in receiving samples shipped from Canada to their U.S.-based laboratory. In some cases, packages are taking anywhere from 2 weeks up to 90 days to reach Neogen.
The delays at U.S. Customs in September 2025 are being driven by new, stricter regulations, including:
We understand how important your testing results are and how frustrating these delays can be. Please know that Neogen is actively working with their shipping partners and internal teams to resolve these issues and release packages as quickly as possible. While these circumstances are beyond their control, the Neogen team is committed to minimizing the impact on you.
Once CHA samples arrive at the lab, Neogen is prioritizing their processing to ensure results are delivered as quickly as possible.
Just log into the Online Registry System with your User Name & Password, then go to Requests/Create DNA applications. If you don’t have a password, call the office at 403-275-2662 with a credit card to keep on file and we will set you up with access.
It will only bill once per test type and only enough tests to cover the reasons requested. You can see potential charges before finalizing your request by clicking on the Check Request Charge button at the bottom of the screen. Click Make Request to submit your request.
After you submit each request, hit the Refresh key until the DNA application says completed, then you can print it to submit with your sample and mail it directly to the lab at the address on the bottom of the form. If you miss printing it or need to print a new copy you can click the Reports tab, then “Display DNA/SNP Test Applications to bring up a list of your test requests.
