Helping CJHA members of all age categories (6-21 years of age) to attend agriculture (cattle industry) educational events that will benefit themselves, the Hereford/beef industry and their herd.
How? CJHA members will apply using the application form provided. The applications will be reviewed by the CJHA Adult Advisors and the final decision made by the CJHA Delegates (CJHA Board). The goal is to provide funds to as many CJHA members as possible. Generally, $50-$250 in funding will be awarded to successful applicants. Some opportunities may not be funded in full, but a portion would be paid if the junior is selected. Funds will not be released until the CJHA member has completed the educational opportunity and reporting.
What? The types of learning opportunities must be appropriate for the member’s level of learning. The possibilities are large and the CJHA encourages members to be thoughtful and creative. Applicants will be required to explain why and how this will be helpful and educate them. Ideas may include and are not limited to clipping/fitting clinics, nutrition courses, artificial insemination courses, hoof care courses and conferences. 4-H tours, 4-H events are very educational, but will not be considered for this opportunity.
Steps for Project
* If a CJHA member declines funding or fails to meet the requirements set out by the CJHA, a waitlisted CJHA member will be selected.
